Pop!_OS is what I keep falling back to. It helps that I use a System76 Thelio and a HP Dev One.
iPhone here.
Even though I use Linux on my laptops/desktop I feel as if the ancillary Apple ecosystem cannot be beat. I use the Apple TV along with it and it just works too well and without ads. Not to mention the Apple Watch
I also have my diabetic equipment paired to it. My insulin pump and glucose monitor work with my phone. (Only supported on iPhone atm)
I replied to him on twitter, but posting it here too just to share with others
This might sounds dumb, but a Thelio that was oriented more horizontally? For a HTPC or home game console type setup? The new steam update adds hardware acceleration and the new gamepadui and I kinda want a PC in my living room instead of an Xbox/PS5
There is a community KDE spin in the works, with a more up to date plasma experience. https://fosstodon.org/@pop_os_kde_spin
No, the new COSMIC will be built on rust and iced
Yeah same. I like the idea, the concept, and from their blog posts the execution. I just wonder if we will see an app community around rust/iced/slint or if we will be using other apps from other toolkits. (Which isn't a bad thing, but an ecosystem is good)
Yeah I know. I put LOTS of hours back when it worked on earlier version of proton-GE. I keep hoping
What are your thoughts on the upcoming COSMIC DE?
Basically title, with System76 moving from gnome to their new rust built COSMIC environment what are your thoughts?
What are the best fediverse alternative to the big sites on the web?
I know I've made the jump to Mastodon, and now lemmy. But what are the other sites that I'm missing out on?
If only they would bring the same support to Realm Royale and Paladins.
Realm is a great alternative to Fortnite for those that like that style of game
I wonder if 3rd party straps from the Quest 2 will work on the 3?
Or if 3rd party straps will exist at all? It looks like the usb-c port is integrated into it.
I use the two pretty differently, so I think I'll continue upgrading/refreshing my PC for a while.
I have used Linux for awhile and settled on pop!_OS for my home desktop/laptop use.
