My grandpa had this exact print hanging in his garage. I always loved it, wonder where it went...
That's a fun table. You should post in c/pinball
"It's ridiculous this was allowed to happen and that nobody checked or cared about what the "First Ukrainian Division" was."
The guy who invited and introduced him said he did it because the dude was from his district, and didn't bother to tell anybody about it, which is plausable, I guess. What's shocking to me is that he is the Speaker of the House. He clearly didn't do his research, and doesn't know his history (he said the Nazi bravely fought the Russians for the independence of Ukraine, or some stupid shit like that). What is this, the US?
Wow, space lasers, AI, and aliens. While I agree a man who royally fucked up the Vegas response should not have been put in charge of anything, the rest of the article is just batshit crazy
They were lists for his aides. He was handing low level staggers classified documents with to do lists written on the back. Let that sink in
Sure it wasn't cheetah piss?
Something to do with his neck, doesn't seem serious. He caught at least 1 pass in the 2nd half after he hurt himself early in the game
And with that W, the KC Royals now own the worst record in baseball
That is just wrong, it certainly is radioactive, just not capable of going critical, which would define it as a "nuclear weapon". Depleted uranium emits radiation, albeit at low levels, therefore it is radioactive
The fact that his team clearly had a protocol for this and no one freaked out about it tells me this happens a lot more frequently off camera than on. This is what we can expect from the Senate minority leader moving forward. At least until '26, if he lasts that long.
It translates to company of death, if that helps.
Dig in, it just gets creepier. Home of the first "power center" (think mega stripmall)

I was recently in SF visiting my son, who lives right off Haight St. I left a bar on Haight on a Saturday night a little tipsy, so I walked a few blocks down Haight to clear my head and came upon one of these at an intersection, and a stray traffic cone. Naturally, I had to try it, and it worked! Well, kinda. The cone fell off the hood immediately, but landed in the crosswalk right in front of the car, and the car just froze.
Delighted with myself, I walked up about a block, gleefully checking back over my shoulder every few steps. The car was frozen. Some passerby snapped a picture of the scene. It was hilarious! It was about that time I decided to head back down to the intersection and snap a pic myself, at least two minutes after I placed the cone.
When I returned to the scene of the crime (as one does), the back window rolls down, and the guy in the back yells: "Yo, dude. What the fuck!?"
I apologized, removed the cone, and took my drunk ass home, laughing all the way.
Funny, he doesn't look like a drag queen.
Wildfires have devastated parts of the Hawaiian island of Maui, killing at least six people, damaging or destroying over 270 structures and reducing most of a historic town to ash.
A reminder that Garland was endorsed by the Federalist Society, which is why Obama thought he would be a safe pick for SCOTUS.
Mission SJC is among the best preserved missions in California. It's a great place to visit, as well as an awesome event venue, and a treasured piece of California history. However, the Mission system was instrumental in wiping out native cultures, enslaving their people and the eventual conquest of their lands and way of living, in the name of God, of course.
Most Catholics in the US were keenly aware of the abuse issues, it's just that they didn't talk about it openly, and the media was loathe to cover it for fear of being labeled anti-Catholic, as she was.
Source: My mother was a Catholic nun for 15 years before leaving the convent to marry my dad, also a devout Catholic. I was an altar boy, went to Catholic schools through High School, and grew up in the 80's and 90's. It was well known among the church and school communities which priests to steer clear of and why.
