Don't know about the other "I am the cool and security concerned type of people" but if I quit Whatsapp I will left starving for food (because I work with WhatsApp). If you made that decision aside from your job I can't see why it should be a problem! Filter your friend and enjoy your WhatsApp-free life.
I really don't know how I lived without knowing of Any Type, since I literally love Notion and use it everyday for a lot of things. Yep I'm also addicted to fountain pens hence pen and paper style. Like a boomer, but younger.
Li sto usando entrambi, ma confesso che da quando è uscito Boost ho quasi dimenticato Sync. Le gestures personalizzabili mi mancano, su Sync basta uno swipe per upvote/downvote/reply ecc. Insomma niente di vitale, ma comodo.

Un tempo, prima che scoppiasse questo disgustoso fenomeno delle serie tv che si credono tutte breaking bad, si sceglieva cosa guardare con più oculatezza, semplicemente perché c'era lo sbattimento di dover uscire di casa, scegliere, pagare, ecc. Ora è Netflix che decide cosa ti piace, e quello che vedi fa pure cagare nel 90% dei casi perché le trame vengono diluite a livelli omeopatici.
Prova QuickCursor (sul playstore). Io non vivo senza. Ho uno xiaomi mi 9t, che dopotutto è ancora contenuto come dimensioni data la media sul mercato, e sono una donna come mani... Da donna, quindi piccole. Senza QuickCursor non avrei saputo come fare da quando ho cambiato lo Xperia compact.
Scusa ma non credo di aver capito il punto dell'ultimo paragrafo. Per principio sceglieresti Sync, perché Boost ha degli ads? Anche Sync mostra (mostrerebbe, perché per ora ci sono solo placeholder senza alcun contenuto) ads. Sotto questo punto di vista credo siano sullo stesso piano, ma forse non ho colto io ciò che volevi dire.
E non sono d'accordo sul fatto che un progetto come Boost, cioè un'app curata e semplice da usare e invitante sotto l'aspetto grafico, non porti guadagni a Lemmy: un software in grado di catturare l'attenzione di tanta gente porta un enorme beneficio ad una piattaforma "di nicchia", una piattaforma che lo si voglia o no sta combattendo contro un gigante come Reddit. Per come la vedo io, a modo suo lo sviluppatore sta agendo attivamente per convogliare sempre più utenza su Lemmy (questo vale per entrambe le app, sia chiaro), e non mi pare poco.
Ho usato Jerboa agli inizi, anche perché c'era solo quello e qualche altro progetto molto acerbo, ma l'ho trovato scomodo e poco fluido.
Boost VS Sync: chi vince?
Ormai è passato il tempo in cui Lemmy aveva più applicazioni che post, i due grandi nomi che si danno battaglia (bonariamente) sono Boost - appena uscita, e Sync. Chiedo per curiosità ma non da ultimo anche perché non so scegliere io stessa. Quale delle due app state usando? Quale vi piace di più (anche e non solo graficamente)?
Ps. Non facciamo post ridondanti sul prezzo di Sync, che comunque ancora non sta mostrando alcun ad.
I'm actually using the in-famous 120€ app without paying a cent. And I do not see any ad. Moral: people sometimes loves to whine too much.
Still using sync after trying... Many (too many) apps. I don't see any ads, only the empty placeholders and they are very few. I like Sync for its fluidity and nice ui+gestures, and probably will stick to it even after those ads will become real - as I said, there's no ad right now. Real question (no flames pls): What does Boost offers instead?
Foxit has a subscription plan if you need advance tools, it's perfectly fine (and customizable) if you want to use the standard plan... No ads, no popups, nothing except your pdf and a lot of features you can use for free. You should give it a try, it's really good.
Try Sumatra, PDF24 and or Foxit Reader. There are plenty of alternatives for a pdf reader, and a lot of them are even faster than acrobat!

Know what... I like it. We live in a time where every bit of a game is on YouTube and dedicated websites, it's cool to suspect there can be "more". I miss the old days where every secret and easter egg was really hard to find lol
The stable master will be accessible after a specific quest of the campaign, and it will unlock mounts for all the character (at every level). I suggest you hit that point in the main story and then go on with your own game as you please.

Hello, since yesterday I was trying to join new communities but the status is "pending", always. No luck today. Anyone knows if it is my problem or something doesn't work? Communities I'm trying to join are quite populated so I found it strange. Thanks
Sì ma sono sempre estremamente scettica. "Noi" che abbiamo visto morire dei social abbiamo anche visto come negli ultimi tempi - da quando la tecnologia è a portata di smartphone, quindi di tutti - i cambiamenti siano molto difficili da attuare. Ricordo quando uscì il semi-scandalo di whatsapp che, divenuta di Meta, tramite popup puntualizzava che i contatti e alcune info personali sarebbero state condivise con Facebook. Certo, alzò un gran polverone, ci fu una migrazione di massa verso Telegram, Signal, e altre app di cui nessuno rammenta il nome, tante voci in coro che se la presero con Meta, ma quanto durò? Quanti dei tuoi contatti hanno davvero abbandonato whatsapp in nome della privacy? Quanti si ricordano cosa diceva il popup?
Temo (ma spero di sbagliarmi) che anche questo esodo possa durare poco, semplicemente perché sempre meno gente è disposta a perdere il proprio tempo per esplorare nuovi lidi digitali. Se la gratificazione non è immediata - per esempio, se entro due click/tap non sei hai già l'account e sei pronto a scrivere su un social, l'euforia dura poco. È un pensiero molto cinico, lo so, ma parlo per esperienza... quindi speriamo che questa settimana duri!
