The point is you don’t have 8:1 in that direction and if you want adoption you need to see that.
Give me a fucking break. You wrote the “black Jewish lesbian” response to me above and then have the stones to accuse someone of playing dumb?
It’s not covered in section 5. Go read it.
The federal government sets the bare minimum protections for people.
Have never read a discrimination clause before? You don’t have to list literally ever combination. This is ignorant at its most charitable interpretation.
See? This is the shit I’m talking about. People here going “it doesn’t matter” yet here you are showing us exactly why it matters.
If you are professional you use what your colleagues are using. You can’t have 8 people in photoshop and 1 person in Gimp. You are not going to get a studio to flip over to gimp if they are a Photoshop house because it will cost a lot of time and money. Especially not larger operations.
Individual freelancers? Sure. Industry capture? Way more difficult.
Those of us in media production simply can’t use Linux. We use too many complicated programs by major companies that are not native to Linux.

If it’s not a big deal then it shouldn’t be too hard to mention you can’t discriminate against someone’s religion/race/gender/etc.
These things are a big enough deal they need to be removed but suddenly “it’s not a big deal” when people want them back.
Not a single mention of discrimination because it doesn’t say anything about religion/race/gender/etc. It needs to specify this to be a rule about discrimination. Even the US federal government - which is the bare minimum - has this spelled out in employment laws and other areas.
This is a classic “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good” situation and you’re framing it as if I am against all the things you are calling for.
I’m not sure why you’re upset about restoring net neutrality but go off I guess
I’m sorry but with all do respect I do not need you to lecture me about how big data dovetails with digital marketing or the B2B side of it for google, thanks.
If I’m not doing secure core, I pull down probably 92 to 95% of my full Internet speed, which is nothing to scoff at because I have fiber. Proton VPN is incredible. Unfortunately, there’s just no way to make secure core particularly quick. It reroutes through two servers, one of which is in a country that doesn’t have a data extradition treaty or whatever it’s called with the US, such a Switzerland.
Super cool never knew about this. I got probably 1-2tb I can spare for the effort.

Looking to dip my toes into Linux for the first time. I have a 2016 Intel MacBook Pro with pretty solid specs collecting dust right now that I think I’m going to use. Research so far has indicated to me that the two best options for me are likely Mint or Elementary OS. Does anyone have any insight? Also open to other OS’s. I would consider myself decently tech savvy but I am not a programmer or anything. Comfortable dipping into the terminal when the need arises and all that.
