I think the poll numbers will act the same way to moderate what people say. I don’t think total karma was important, it’s seeing a community you’re in agree/disagree with you, and all the dopamine/negativity that comes from that.

Facebook, Instagram, whatsapp, etc all require a login. It’s not something new, and twitter has always been more of an exception.

The reason is almost certainly for tracking, to improve ads. The users need to pay back the billions the company cost, eventually.

I would assume the boat was over limit, so was not legal to move, which would make you assume that they would want to make it safe before allowing it to move. Hopefully this results in procedure changes. :(

They enjoy censorship and deny basic human right violations, and parrot CCP propaganda. They’re tankies. That’s why the devs instance isn’t federated with many of the major ones.
