Not for simply having, but for brandishing said bladed device as the police approached. That's the law, in that city. In addition to the races, we’re also hosting the Maker Olympics. Attendees can compete in carnival-like games to win fun prizes and compete to be the top Maker Olympian!
Games Include:
Hammer Time!: Contestants compete to drive a nail into a board in as few blows and as fast as possible. Size Does Matter: Contestants guess the length of a rod to the nearest 1/8”. Scrapwood Basketball: Contestants have 60 seconds to sink as many scrap pieces into a trashcan as possible. Screw It!: Contestants compete to screw a 1 5/8” screw into a 2×4 using only a handheld screwdriver. Half Ass: Contestants try to cut a piece of clay perfectly in half. Tape Measure Fishing: Contestants compete to pull objects across a table using only a tape measure. Mini Battle Bots: Contestants battle head-to-head to pop each other’s balloons. Make Santa Fe, a non-profit, will sell tickets that contestants will use to compete in the games.
