  • 🔍 beginning search for any references to rust, vim, mechanical keyboards, functional programming, and/or monadic bros (be they supermonads or regular).

Great job! This could be very useful. Will have to test!

  • who else is enjoying their Loctober?
  • I have the right cage and have practiced before but it’s going past 24 hours and it’s starting to get difficult resisting unlocking already. Has anyone tried a key holder service?

  • Influences in Real Life
  • Dostoevsky lately. I guess it makes sense many don’t know of his work until later in life when they need it. If you’re nearing 40 and aren’t familiar then it’s time to at least watch a YouTube video or two to get the ball rolling.

  • What are your programming hot takes?
  • Dunno, maybe! 🤔 Tell me, 15 years ago which editor were you using? Editors have come so far in the last 15 years and I think that many people forget how rough even visual studio was for the longest time.

But do go in with the passive aggressive tone to a comment made in a thread about unpopular opinions. Very noble!

  • What are your programming hot takes?
  • I would say my observations were between 2006-2010 and this was at UC Berkeley. Again, I shit you not.

  • It was a joke comment based on all the influx of Reddit users. There is a sub Reddit called Hail Corporate that points out posts that could or are fake posts by companies pushing their product. The wording of this post sounds straight up corpo speak. I say this as someone who had a career in IT starting from desktop support up to director of IT. For the record I’m not saying positively that’s what’s going on, just poking fun.

    Cool user name btw.
