Hey, this is a really good app. the communities have grown enough to actually be a really good alternative to reddit.

my requests, can we have the ability to discover new communities within an instance our account is logged in to? I'm having to go to the actual instance in browser to subscribe and add a community to my feed.

also, can there be a context menu item to request to federate/subscribe to a community with another account? I'm finding I've have to make accounts in multiple instances since some have communities that are exclusive to their network so it would make migrating easier.

For some communities, I cannot see some recent posts. I find them in Local or All tab but when I click on the community, it disappears. Sometimes, I miss weeks of posts! I removed all blocked communities and instances just in case.

Is this a known issue?

Edit: I also checked the Mark read/Hide setting. Everything was unchecked and I tried disabling hiding in communities with no success.

Edit 2: Fixed! There is setting on the web interface to "Show read posts", I left it unchecked.

The last three options are not working for me. Sometimes I don't save some useful posts thinking I can find them later in the specific community but then I realized none of the options are respected, posts keep getting hidden. I have disabled auto-hide but it still hides posts on refresh.

I'm on android 14.

Edit: I ticked "Show read posts" in my lemmy account settings on a browser and now everything works.

I decided to check a few of the trending communities suggested on the search tab, but they're all new communities with one or none subscribers and little to no content. How is that trending? Is Lemmy or voyager suggesting these to me?

Whenever I follow a RedGifs link (using the app's browser), it tries to load the page but then cuts short and says "Something went wrong." It used to work fine, but it's been busted for several weeks.

EDIT: It was my AdBlock extension for Safari! Once I disabled it, RedGifs worked fine. So there we go.

Edit: The issue has been resolved. Doing the following fixed everything.

No matter if I sort the posts to Hot, New, Top or Most comments, the result is always the same: a random sort pattern with 20 days worth of posts missing. Now that has become the default sort. I'm unable to view new posts on my own community and there's no way to view my own posts unless I view my account activity.

Works fine in lemmy.world on PC so I don't think it's a lemmy issue.

I've tried logging out and logging back in on voyager which doesn't work.

Anyone else facing this problem?

Self-explanatory, I think. I miss being able to flag users in Res – I usually used it to mark known trolls or experts in a subject so I could easily see them in threads. I sometimes used it to mark people who were especially witty or the like.

I think it was all client-side, because I had to import/export when changing clients.

It greatly contributed to my overall experience, and I think it would be a very valuable addition to Voyager.

Since the update menu item isn’t there, maybe we could get the release notes one level up so we can access it on the native iOS version?

ghcr.io/aeharding/voyager:latest & main give me request failed code 500. Never had issues with wefwef

Anybody has voyager running successfully on docker?

Edit: I had to delete and recreate the container. Works now.
