I was listening to "Sonic the Comic the Podcast" recently and they were reminiscing about Woolies and I was trying to remember what they sold. But all I could think of was ZX Spectrum tapes and pick & mix. I guess... drills...?

Ah, now you're reminding me of the Woolies quandary back in the day. Buy pick and mix or save up for a 1.99 Mastertronic Speccy game. Which were, with one or two exceptions, invariably utter shit. Should have gone for the sugar fix.
Well, Finders Keepers and Kickstart 2 were okay. But the rest, not so much.

I got banned for life from Woolies in 1996 for stealing a Kinder Bueno. I'd never been so mortified in all my life and I always had the absolute terror whenever my maw would take me in when we went in to town after that.
We used to steal batteries and stuff from there. I was caught (the only one out of a group of 4 .. doh!) and suspended from school for two weeks.

That brings back memories! Got my first ever Yo-yo from woollies! Used to be a weekend visit to that place for me. I think they still sell online don't they? 🤔
I had no idea they did power tools!
Christmas decorations and cheap gifts and Halloween crap are all I can remember ever buying in there.
