This may seem strange to you but there was a time, when people actually used those.
My guess is they were from some old school beat maker, Akai or EMU.. so yeah, floppies were gangster..

I had an MPC2000XL that had one of these, that was an utterly shit time lmao.
The MCD model would have been cool if compact flash and SD cards were not ludicrously expensive back then for not much more storage.
My XL had a zip drive.. made life so much easier.. I still miss it sometimes..
Man I have like a bajillion of those things laying around. I was never a huge fan of them because of their relatively short life though.
I did! But only briefly. I used my birthday money to buy a cd burner and was a decently early adopter.
No Jaz drive? No Zip disk? No mini disk?!
