It's always fun getting paid by Google for not being a parent to a child in my household.
Is funny how often they ask.
They seem to check if I'm still married each month as well. Easy money.
40 0 ReplyHow much do you earn from this stuff?
7 0 ReplyAbout $0.10 - $0.15 each time they ask.
12 0 ReplyI've already sold my soul to them - might as well get paid for it
7 0 ReplyKeep in mind that if they can afford to give you that much, it must be worth more than that to whoever they are selling it to
9 0 ReplyYeah i'm aware of that :3
4 0 ReplySpoken like someone from the era where every human aspect of existence is commodified whether or not it is lawful or ethical.
2 0 ReplyIm aware of the ethics of it but what do you propose I do? I do everything I can within reason to avoid it
2 0 ReplyOh, we're all subject to it regardless of our efforts. I'm just drawing attention to the fact that you're acutely aware of it, because older generations don't seem to be or are only vaguely conscious of it.
1 0 ReplyWell... except not answering their survey questions

Check out Reklaim. I get to see what data gets sold to whom and a nice 20 dollar amazon giftcard about every 6 months.

I usually earn 40 cents. For the simple ones. 0.80-1.20 for the ones with more information.

I'd be a little worried about what my spouse was googling if Google kept wondering if I'd been divorced yet.
7 0 ReplyGoogle: Hey, how's it going with Samantha, you guys good?
Me: Great, why do you ask?
Google, nervously: Ah, no reason bro. Just checking. You guys are so great for each other btw.
