Every time I read about a scientist trying to talk to whales, I get excited, and I think every time that scientists are getting significant closer and this time interspecies communication might actually work.
I feel the same way about this experiment.

I had no idea before reading this that the journalist was actually there for the recent birthing(first time a sperm whale birth was caught on camera if I'm not mistaken). There's some cool video of the whales working together to hold the baby above water right after its born. Here's the post with the videos and pics incase you missed it.
