Are there any actual revolutionary organizations in England/UK?

I don't want to be affiliated with my uni's IMT/Socialist Appeal club because I've heard they can be revisionist, and most, if not all of the UK "socialist" parties are v. transphobic. I also don't know what I can do/will be allowed to do as an international student, but just wanted to ask if there are any places where organizing will be possible. Thanku!

  • Idk, but you could try to join your local environmental or queer activist group and radicalize them.

  • Maybe the YCL if you're in the right age range.

Here was my breakdown when I was looking for myself:

    • CPGB: the original "Tankie"; they dissolved and it looks like they're going nowhere at the moment. They were considered reformists by some members before those members form the CPB.
    • CPB: Perhaps considered the official communist party. But they are TERFs. Mind that the YCL is their youth wing. I don't know how independent they are.
    • Socialist Appeal: Trotskyites, left communists, ultras, whatever you call it.

The rest aren't ML, or heavily revisionist. Most of these things are just book-club type orgs.

  • Join them and see for yourself
