That's good. I still think people who are using lemmy only need a feature like mastodon to switch instances, so the account don't go down with instances or if not then we need more and more enthusiasm in people, who are capable, to contribute momentarily to run a server like their online family and flourish the space.
Lemmy needs some major issues addressed. I believe it'll be the best place in the internet for discussions. Tumblr honestly overwhelms whenever I go and lurk.
I just use Lemmy now. Used to be very active on reddit and now I'm very active here. I really like that no big tech corp are running the server here. Something feels very wrong about big tech forcing itself into the middle of people's conversations, specially when we have seen how immature, greedy, insensitive and stupid those people are.
While it is really good that big corporations aren't running servers here, I still believe there could be some open source or non profit organisation contributing to the lemmy instances so that we have some really good, stable and secure servers that are not likely to go down ever.
And hell yes, it feels good now that we've seen us transitioning from the corporates exploiting us from our investments on their services as our opinions and thoughts. Capitalists need to stay away from social media. It seriously is where it really asks for freedom of expression.
