I usually feel like Lemmy is too small to have several communities around the same topics, so I would suggest anyone interested to give it a try there.
I'll be honest, when I saw the name of that community it gave me pause. I looked at the linked post and was pleased to find I was wrong about what I thought it probably was.
If only for that reason I think there's value in keeping both. I think this could serve a different purpose as well though. Casual or inconsequential questions would fit better under an "ask men" name I think. Like "why do so many guys flush before they're done peeing"
In my opinion, no. Most Menslib communities I've seen (including the one mentioned here) are primarily focused on a different topic from what Ask Men focuses on (feminism and a feminist outlook on men's issues). Even if not particularly active at the moment, Ask Men provides it's own, important niche for discussions and perspectives that should not be overlooked.
Same answer. I have blocked mensliberation because of the focus on feminism. I would never tell women how to behave around men, that’s creepy (or worse).
