No borders. No boundaries. No definitions. No identities. Can you see the universe without these shackles? Being indifferent is not cold. It is seeing the inherent oneness of all that is.

  • I stumbled on this trough my main feed, I'm not a subscriber, and I have never read any of these works. I know nothing of Daoism. However, when I read this I feel apathy, not enlightenment. Caring and connection will lead to enlightenment faster than apathy in my experience.

  • Thanks for the replies. I appreciate and understand where they are coming from. A couple of thoughts related to them. Life and death aren’t real according to some eastern spiritual traditions. They are different states of energy transfer. Acknowledging and accepting this reality brings peace and a conquering of fear. It can also help with compassion during difficult times.

    It is said Taoism helps one understands how the universe works and Buddhism helps one understand how to deal with the universe. A dedicated meditation practice goes a long way too. Best wishes on your spiritual journeys.
