Filters in the fediverse are so nice.
47 2 ReplyIf only Lemmy had actual keyword filters :/
15 0 ReplyThat would be nice!
Piefed has them and its awesome! https://piefed.social/user/settings/filters
12 0 ReplyI love piefed, and I'd switch to it if the UI is better or they had custom clients support :(
7 0 ReplyI agree. Its by one dev (mostly) so its amazing what they did :) The bones are solid!
I really want a client on phone.

At least some clients have them if you like to try. I am using thunder on android which has it but I haven't tried it myself so not sure how effective it is.
2 0 ReplyYeah but youd have to set them again for each client. Too bad but it works ig :/
1 0 ReplyYeah that is true. They did add instance blocking after it was requested a lot so hopefully this will be added soon to Lemmy.

I have every word relating to the US filtered. Every community filtered. And it still fills half my feed. Wish I could do more.
11 1 ReplyE.g. OP comic was not filtered.
Unfortunately Lemmy has quickly grown too toxic for my mental health.

Yet this bypasses filters because it's not in the title or text
8 1 ReplyI wish I could filter words in community names.
8 0 ReplyI can't seem to add enough keywords.
5 0 ReplyShame filters rely on people actually including the filtered keywords in the title.
4 0 ReplyNot nice enough, since this would still end up on your feed.
3 1 ReplyYeah, i wish i could live with my head in the sand too.
5 7 ReplyNot all of us are American.
I'll save you the effort of replying, I know you'll say that it effects every country.
7 1 ReplyWell, at least you are honest about your wanted ignorance.
