    Why do people get this wrong. It's not about the decade you were born in, it's about the decade you spent most of your formative childhood in.

    Roughly, kids born in the 70s were 80s kids. Born in the 80s were 90s kids. Born in the 90s were 00's kids. Born in 00s were 10s kids.

    I mean, technically correct, but it wasn't really about Galveston. It's about how that was when the last of people heard the news. It represents how long it takes for actual rights and freedoms to be even told to people. I think it represents all yhag is wrong with the struggles of obtaining AND ENJOYING rights and freedoms. I feel like their summary was a bit too brief and simplifying.

  • If you talk to many american christians, then the answer is whatever they personally learned or believe. You must believe the same as them and their arbitrary translation of the Bible. All other possibilities are blasphemous and a personal attack on them.

  • For us, the suburbs are cheaper than the cities. We basically have no choice. I have to work in the city but can't afford to live there with a family. Mainly the rent/mortgage prices, and groceries. It's all cheaper when I'm willing to drive 30-60 minutes outside of the city.

  • I had similar experiences in Christian high school I was forced in to, and in discussions with my parents. It's pure blasphemy to have any intellectual discussions and not simply agree with what your leaders around you believe.
