Facebook lifts restrictions on calling women ‘property’ and transgender people ‘freaks’
The social media giant Meta has loosened its public rules on hate speech as Mark Zuckerberg seeks to curry favour with Donald Trump
In an update to its hate speech policy on Tuesday, spotted first by The Independent, the apps' parent company Meta deleted numerous clauses banning specific derogatory statements about protected groups, while adding detailed exceptions for anti-trans speech.
People act like this is some sort of big pivot by Zuckerberg but Facebook's algorithms were spreading hate and desinformation long before Musk bought Twitter.
I will never forgive anyone who voted for #Trump or anyone who didn't bother to vote. He hasn't even taken office yet, and already, the social effects are drastic as people feel safe now to cause harm to others.
Trump is property of Putin and he's a freak.
Heterophobes maybe, but I won't go so far as calling them freaks; we're all a bit freaky in some way or another.
