We're in the doldrums right now, but the season is inching closer. What do you think the Capitals goals will be this season, and more importantly do you think they can attain them?
I think the goal is a wild card spot, but honestly it should be getting the rights to draft Celebrini. I think the ceiling is somewhere between 11th and 14th in the conference. They're going to be bad...
I think they're probably a bottom 5 team in the conference for sure, but there's still a tiny part of my brain that thinks that maybe, just maybe they could make a run at a playoff spot. Assuming the big guys turn up and the team stays healthy, but given that they're basically the oldest roster in the league I'm not convinced that's realistic.
I think there's a way this team can suck and Ovi can get his goals. It might not be fun to watch, but tbh I think we're past that point now.
40 to 50 goals for Ovechkin, I'll take as low as 30. Besides that, hopefully a healthier team to make it happen. As for the season, IDK to be honest, yeah wild card would be great. Honestly, it's going to be Ovi chasing Gretzky's goal record and then he retires and we go full rebuild. I'm Curious to see how Wilson looks this season, he didn't seem like the same guy after coming back from injuries, but I'm hoping to see him back to what he was before the injury. It's got to be hard coming back in the middle of a season. T.J. Oshie also had a slew of injuries that didn't help last season, so we will see crossing my fingers and hoping for a good season.
