Seems weird to see Jane Goodall referred to as “conservation expert” in the headline
Why?
from my perspective, because it's jane fucking goodall, possibly the most famous conservation expert there is
Yeah, it’s exactly this. It felt reductive to me as if she wasn’t a notable individual just a generic job title, when she’s contributed more to conservation and zoology than most living individuals.
Oh so it's weird because they're using a descriptor instead of her name?
Well, looking at the world in general I don't blame them for assuming ignorance from people. I
that's where i'm at, too. assume everyone knows nothing, since the world over populaces have demonstrated a lack of knowledge
