Update broke the app entirely
Ever since an update two or three days ago, Voyager has been displaying nothing but a blank screen on my phone.
Just running the PWA on Firefox 132.0.2 on my old Samsung Galaxy S10. I get the same results when visiting vger.app directly.
There was a very short period with a bad deploy of the PWA a couple days ago (not native apps) where it would show a blank screen. However your device should auto update once you close ALL vger.app tabs and reopen 2x (once refresh to fetch latest updates, one to reflect on page) -- I checked on my device.
If that doesn't fix it, can you please check your browser console if you're technically inclined? You could try this browser extension or, the official but more complex method
And if you dont want to do that, you can always try deleting site data for vger.app. That will clear your settings and login though.
Thank you, this got me to resolve it. No amount of refreshing and closing tabs worked, so I did have to delete my site data after all. Lost my settings, but at least it works again.
Which version of Voyager are you on?
I'm on 2.18.5 with my Pixel 7 and everything is running fine for me.
Yeah I figured it must not be affecting anyone else since I'm the first to bring it up here. Not sure I can check the version when no part of the PWA loads though, but I think vger.app is supposed to be whatever is the current version
The releases/changelog have been weird for a little while now on the PWA.
I feared mine would get broken too, but so far I’m ok. I’m on iOS.
Anyone have insight into why the changelog has been weird? And there was a set of updates that seemed to do nothing recently?
Edit: going back and viewing the recent releases in GitHub they don’t look “blank” or weird or duplicate like they were… maybe they were all hand fixed? - I stand by the feeling that recently things have been odd. I had the user vote tracking appear in the PWA multiple updates before it showed up in the changelog.
