Ukraine to Receive €1.4 Billion from Frozen Russian Assets in August

The EU says this first tranche of funds will be used to finance the purchase of essential military equipment for Ukraine.

The G7 currently agreed, after urging and veiled threats from Saudi Arabia, that it would only use the interest from the frozen Russian assets rather than confiscating the assets themselves.

I feel the Saudis should be made to carry through their threat - the wind has shifted and they should be made to choose now.
