Tensegrity is such a fun concept. I'll definitely have to try this on a rainy day.

I've made one of these out of wood and light duty chain with a plexiglass top. It was a lot of fun and I get questions about it all the time. So far it has held up to 50 lb.
- Wow! And does it feel sturdy or rather flimsy?
  
  The wood frame is rigid, but the top moves side to side as intended. If you tension all the lines tightly, you can make it very stable.
I've always wanted to make one of these.
