Or you could just... socialize 🤔
EDIT: Assuming it's two people who know each other already. Why would a stranger go up to you, to ask how's it going, when they don't know you at all?

You are not owed interpersonal interaction because you want it.
48 2 ReplyOr the other guy could just...leave him the fuck alone.
27 2 ReplyWhy?
20 2 ReplyWhy socialise?
2 0 ReplyIf I recognize someone, then I'll ask them how's it going, either to be polite, or because I genuinely care about them
2 7 Reply"Fuck whatever you are doing, I want to talk to you right now for not reason at all" is not a very polite message to pass.
If people make themselves uncomfortable just so they can clearly tell you that they do not want to talk to you... it may be because they don't want to talk to you.
10 0 ReplyIf someone has headphones on, you can wave, and if they take them off then greet them. If they have no headphones in, you can just greet them
2 0 ReplyIf you are waving at people that clearly aren't in the mood for empty chatting, it's certainly because you have something important to say.
1 0 ReplySomeone with headphones on does not necessarily mean they wouldn't want to chat. And a wave doesn't necessarily mean the waver wants to chat either (I don't mean waving right next to someone to get their attention)
2 0 ReplyI completely agree with you, also with the wave and greet. 🤷♀️

11 2 ReplyLibraries = extroverts' worst nightmare.
11 0 ReplyWho goes to libraries these days? I just "download" books.
0 11 ReplyIt's like fishing. I don't HAVE to do it. But I enjoy the atmosphere. It's one of the last things I have left in this world from my youth. I spent almost every free minute I could in school in either the library or computer lab.
11 0 ReplyOnce, libraries were quiet places. Then computers took over. Now everyone’s got a smart phone I’m hoping they can be quiet again.
2 0 ReplyThe Covid-infected atmosphere? No thanks
1 6 ReplyAs if the people stupid enough to not take precautions against covid even know where their local library IS, let alone have any desire to enter 🙄
4 0 ReplyWhere are you? 2020?

3 4 ReplyYou can't let people be can you?
1 0 ReplySo basically exactly the same as if they left me alone? Except now I'm annoyed that I was interrupted for nothing?

Nobody wants me to do that. You think you do, but you really don’t. One way or another someone’s getting their feelings hurt
