This could happen without meaning to. Just takes a medical procedure that puts biden under and temporarily you have 47th president kamala until he wakes back up... assuming they go through the whole transfer of power procedure for it.
Never know if he's been putting off a procedure for a condition until after the election. Very plausible though for someone over 80.
She was acting president during his colonoscopy, that didn't technically make her the 47th.
Correct. If we counted every president medical procedure as a new president we would be well in to the 100s by now. Just off the top of my head Reagan and both Bushes had various procedures that briefly granted VPs presidential power, Kamala was far from the first here, even if she was the first black woman to hold it.
.. Andnow I'm vaguely curious if anyone has ever gone back and tallied up this objectively useless number of people who at one point were acting president. 😂
