  • As far as I'm concerned, your days off are your days off. I don't care if you're in bed with bubonic plague, or you just really fucking hate Daisy and need a break from her stupid comments. Don't even bother telling me why you need today off, just say "hey I won't be in today" and I'll say cool see you when I see you, and hang up.

    Who the fuck cares what someone is doing when they call off. And why the fuck do they care.

    • I can kinda see some jobs, teaching included, needing to be a bit more restrictive on when you can take off, in that you may need more lead time to make it work right. Like, my old job, I was taking care of patients; a call in with no reasonable lead time could leave a patient uncovered, which is potentially a very bad situation.

      Teachers, nowhere near as sensitive as patient care for sure, but the more warning there is, the less it impacts the education process. And it does fuck things up.
