Unfortunately, we've been through this too many times with things that are far worse and somehow he never seems to lose them, not really, so...eh.
He'll lose supporters only after he and his movement have been comprehensively, decisively defeated. Then they'll all deny that they knew what they were supporting, or that the supported him at all. And two generations later, someone will run the same con again and a new generation of rubes will fall for it.
