I genuinely feel like I wouldn't live that differently even if I suddenly became ultra-wealthy. Am I kidding myself?
  • Well I know someone who regularly fantasizes about winning the lottery and the world of possibilities that would open up for them.

I'm sure more money could help with a lot of the stuff that life throws at you. But honestly, when I think about the things that I really want or would like to do... then it's rarely about money. For example, you want to become a photographer. It's not being unable to buy the priciest camera on the market that's holding you back. I even doubt if it's easier if you have the money to do just that.

  • Love Burnout
  • Doesn't work for me. When I'm enjoying my activities it is just that, not being there with a plan B the back of my mind. I get that this is not what you are saying, but I find it more comforting to keep dating and activities separated.

  • I want to learn Philosophy. How should I start ?
  • Yeah but still... there's something really nice and basic about getting to know the primary sources. You can find a lot of secondary literature / handbooks / online courses / ... but it just can't compare to the original (albeit in translation). If you would ever decide to start studying philosophy in-depth you'll be glad you're already familiar with some fundamental works.
