  • Don't know if this was used outside my country (Spain) but almost any car in the 90's had pictures of your loved ones saying "we expect you", but also "don't rush" and others alike.

  • It wasn't worth it anyway
  • Many articles on my country stars with "This/These/Those are...." all of them are a pure click bait. I've trained myself to avoid any article where the subject of interest is not in the header. I know they have no good content.

  • Agree. Surprised to see the post. Wife and I are on our 60's and kids (don't know the correct word for young adults) living at home. Doors are always open except when need to be close. And where they are close, we all know it's for a reason (whatever reason) and no one open, at max, if urgent, knocking on the door is ok.

  • Humankind will disappear and hearth will evolve to better. This is not pessimistic not optimistic, I just believe life is a continuous evolution. Hard to believe humans are the last step or we're so important to last forever.

  • Remote gaming multiple accounts - Sunshone-Moonlight question
  • Thanks. Looks like the issue is windows related, more specifically Microsoft related. From the link you provided:

The number of concurrent RDP connections on Windows is actually a license limitation. Microsoft prohibits the creation of a workstation-based Terminal RDP server for multiple users to work simultaneously.

I'll try the solution from there this WE, although not very confident it will work due to the above mentioned limitation.

  • Remote gaming multiple accounts - Sunshone-Moonlight question

I've a game computer based on W11. I do play through my portable using sunhine-moonlight (S-M) and experience is great. Daughter wants to play games as well. My think is to create a second account on W11 and setup a S-M connection from her own portable. Issue is that I can't get both of us connected to the W11 machine. As soon as one of us connects, the other disconnects. Not sure whether this is a W11 setup issue or S-M related. Any experience/success?

Why all of a sudden tech companies are not being favorable to their users?
  • I'm just waiting for the ads bubble to explore. There is very little real ROI. As a user, my eyes and mind are well training to avoid seeing any ad that traverses the adblocker, I never clic on any PROMOTED content nor on any link of the ad-top results. Always REJECT cookies I've the option. The advertising companies pay on what they believe I'm seeing, but on what I really see (and care). Just waiting for the day they realize and stop wasting money and disturbance.

  • What Android games do you play to kill time?
  • Since Sudoku was so popular few years back, I've play on a regular basis. Is not trending anymore but continues to be my go-to game to spare some time and keep my mind sharpen (I'm in the 60s group)

  • YSK: How Lemmy Works
  • I do recognize this post is mostly directed to redditors (include myself) but could sound more neutral not using reddit as example all the time. You can refer to a more neutral "web page". Just a suggestion.

  • What's your favorite alternate launcher?
  • Agree on Niagara. I've been a Nova Launcher user for many-many years. Tried to switch to other launchers with no success. Around year ago, when Nova was bought by Branch (if memory is right) I decided to force myself to use a different launcher. Tested several, but Niagara was best once you understand the simplicity of the design concept. Now I'm a very satisfied user of the PRO version.
