The locking happens because too many crybabies hit the report button. Of course civil discourse would be better but I don’t ever see that online. It only happens with a moderator between two people. Yeah it locks it there so you can’t pull it out while it’s reading the chip and you’re putting your PIN in. It’s flush with the reader with the middle part exposed for grabbing.
