Just beat Chameleon Twist on the N64
  • You can still find weird stuff with indies if you look for it. Hylics II and Post Void are some good examples. (Even though I don't like Post Void and would only recommend you play it with accessibility mode turned on.)

  • Honestly, when I first heard the term "boomer shooter" I thought the games were called that because of the amount of explosions they have. Ion Fury in particular is full of them. It a was a while after I realised that by "boomer" they basically mean "old".

    I think "retro shooter" is the much better term, though "classic" also works.

  • Slay the Princess is so good guys.

    If you haven't played it, you really should give it a try. It is one of the most creative games I have ever played and is now one of my favorite pieces of fiction ever. This game is the game that made me take visual novels seriously. Before this I just though they were all typical, anime-esque romance stuff. I want to try more of this stuff.

    Western recommendations from the silent era?

    I've started watching Westerns lately. I've watched the first hour of The Outlaw Josey Wales, very good stuff. So I have some sound films my list like Stagecoach, Searchers, Once Upon a Time in West, Lawman and Dodge City; but what about the silent era? I've only seen The Great Train Robbery from that part, what else would you recommend?

    I can't open the replies on my inbox or links to communities from other instances from my subscribed and inbox RSS feeds.

    Trying to do so gives the

    404: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'send')

    and

    404: couldnt_find_community

    errors respectively, do any of you have this issue aswell? Has this been already reported?
