Revolutionary ADHD headband is said to treat symptoms in just 20 minutes a day
  • Bone is actually far more conductive than you might think! Our main protection from current comes from that very outer layer of skin; once that's breached resistance drops relatively dramatically.

And bone itself, being a non-homogeneous material, exhibits variable conductivity throughout with the marrow for example being more conductive than calcium (well, mostly hydroxyapatite I think, to be perfectly accurate) with a relatively low average resistance: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-26836-0

So (roughly speaking) the idea is that this device puts multiple paired contact points on the scalp and drops skin resistance with some gel or something, like an EKG or EEG, in such a way that the path of least resistance goes through the bits they want to stimulate.

  • Mozilla removes uBlock Origin Lite from Addon store. Developer stops developing Lite for Firefox; "it's worrisome what could happen to uBO in the future."
  • Edit: bloody hell, I hadn't looked into Brave that deeply yet, fuck Brendan Eich and fuck Peter Thiel.

Jesus. A day without bad news from Mozilla would be nice. I am beginning to feel a distinct need to switch browsers. and Brave is currently looking like the best balance between compatibility and privacy. I've only been resistant to Brave because it's based on Chromium and I want to support non-Chrome browser engines, but the Firefox forks I've tried like Waterfox and Pale Moon just aren't there yet in terms of usability for me (primarily, wide protocol support for web video playback).

Anyone got any better suggestions, by any chance?

  • Fontes blocked from using new rule to certify election results when counties refuse to
  • I mean if they don't submit the votes on time, proceedings must proceed without them. That is not disenfranchisement by the proceeders, but by the election officials who cannot submit their jurisdiction's ballots on time. Next time the residents of the county can ensure sane and competent people get those roles, if they want their votes counted. Simples.

    Finnish Witch (high effort version)

Thanks for checking out the second version of my Noita fan track! This one sounds kinda like Scandroid. I did and do love the first version which was much closer to power metal, but I wasn't happy with a lot of aspects of it. I re-wrote the lyrics, re-generated the whole thing from scratch using Suno, and then spent ten hours figuring out the basics of DaVinci Resolve to add all the different animations and transitions. It's still not perfect but I'm happy with it... for now.

    I hope you enjoy it!

I had a homing rock wand, infinite spells and vampirism (infinite healing with the oceans of blood from corpses, not to mention grinding up the meat realm), an unmolested potion shop in the mines, and so many hearts I had 451 health with Vampirism. I hope it's okay to cross-post this here! I'm not trying to spam, I didn't realise there was a difference between the different instances and thought my posts to one would be visible across all. I'm still getting the hang of this Fediverse thing 😄

No room in my inventory, onto my chainsaw wand just 'til I could get back to a Holy Mountain to save it for later. Saw a corpse, thought I'd top off my health and fired my chainsaw wand.

    Why Starbound Failed

This hits hard 'cause I was one of the fans so hopeful that Starbound would be Terraria 2 (In Space), and backed it on Kickstarter.

The presentation is a bit editorial at times, but I feel it's a pretty good overview of the game and the context surrounding its development, hype, and downfall.

I didn't want this to go to "waste" 🥁

A GIF of the human "success" animation for researching Core Waste Dumps, from the game "Master of Orion 2: Battle At Antares". I actually played a game all the way through to this point to get the footage, as I didn't have it on any of my games in progress at the moment.

Not only that, but the post I made it for got buried under downvotes, so nobody'd ever see it if I only posted it there. I hope other enjoyers of this sci-fi 4X classic find a pleasant dose of nostaligia in it 🖖
