What's one of your favorite genres of music and what's your favorite thing about it?
  • I also can't get enough of electronic downtempo/chillout/lounge music, mainly prefer instrumental stuff but if it's gotta have vocals then make them female. got any artist recommendations? I love all the old Pork Records stuff (Fila Brazillia, Baby Mammoth, Leggo Beast, Bullitnuts), and Elektrolux records (Fresh Moods, Guardner, Index ID, Naoki Kenji, The Sushi Club), Tosca, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Peace Orchestra, Nightmares On Wax, Bonobo, etc.

  • What unusual thing does your pet do?
  • I made the mistake of letting my cat drink from a slow stream of running water in my bathroom sink ONE TIME and ever since then the little wench will not allow me to take a shit in peace, within seconds of me closing the bathroom door she starts scratching demanding me to turn the faucet on for her.

I'd buy her a fountain if I didn't know that she would still prefer the sink, in classic asshole cat form.

  • I try to see as much live music as possible (within the genres that I at least somewhat like). There's something about being just another face in the crowd dancing to the music that makes me feel like I'm a part of something greater than myself. Everyone there at least has the common ground of liking the music regardless of their political stance, sexual preference, etc.

  • Maybe they're onto something
  • lol that's true but I should've said that I asked him how my scalp looks (since I can't really look at it closely myself), and he said "yeah seems fine, maybe a little dry." That is one thing that I noticed during the winter that dandruff got a little worse since skin dries out during the winter, but when it warms back up the dandruff dies down again. So again just to be clear, not everyone can stop using shampoo/conditioner especially if they have some kind of scalp condition, but for those people with the right hair type, it's totally fine and really not a big deal at all. You don't stink, your hair doesn't smell like anything at all really (as long as you are still regularly taking showers, I'm not saying to stop taking showers lol).

  • Maybe they're onto something
  • It's been 2 years now since I've used shampoo, just been rinsing with water only since. I'm no cosmetologist but my hair feels perfectly normal and healthy, and without telling him anything's changed, my barber hasn't been able to tell a difference. The first few weeks after stopping using shampoo my hair did get pretty greasy, but it eventually settled down and now it's totally fine. Instead of stripping away the natural oils with shampoo and replacing them with the synthetic oils in conditioner, just let your natural oils come back. Granted, this doesn't apply to everyone, I am lucky enough to have a hair type that I'm able to do this with.

  • Yeah that’s a prettier pic, I can never decide what type of pic to use for the thumbnail images of these posts but usually just go for the boring top down view.

This is a pretty good formation imo, it may not be “perfect” but it’s probably the best of the year so far. Still doable for humans imo but it’s starting to blur the line.

  • This one is right next to the Stonehenge visitor's center. Also note the red poppy flowers in the center of the formation. It's a cool design but seeing as how this is only the 2nd formation in Wiltshire so far, it'd be nice if the designs were more intricate if they're going to be this sparse. Hopefully it picks up more in July, because ending June with only 2 formations? That's rookie numbers lol.

  • almost definitely man made but only because simple circles wouldn't be that hard to make, but sometimes the simple looking ones encode complex geometry, would be interesting to know if this one "squares the circle" if you know what that means. but it certainly gives off an initial vibe of it being man made so still waiting on a breathtaking one that makes you question if people could have done it in the allotted time.

    What happened to Crop Circles?
  • just reposting this from reddit, it's not really worth watching but he thinks the reason for the low number of formations nowadays is the low interest in the public's mind and the constant debunking and lack of effort to look deeper into the anomalous aspects of crop circles.

  • Still nothing for 2024 yet, seems like there's less and less formations every year. One day I fear the creators (human or otherwise) will just give up and no longer present their beautiful art to us. For a while I thought they were building up to something (contact?), but maybe they've already said what they wanted to say and we should be glad we got what we got.

Is there a way to unblur this photograph?
  • Sorry, focus is the one thing that can't be fixed in post by traditional methods. AI can attempt to make it better but often times the result looks like it was obviously AI generated.. since well, it was.

Whose a good comedian that never fails to make you laugh?
  • I have a chance to see Randy Feltface live in December but may have to go by myself since my one standup buddy said he "can't do puppets" lol. I mean I get the puppet hate but this isn't like Jeff Dunham, Randy is actually legitimately funny to the point that you kinda forget you're looking at a puppet.

    also agreed on Mitch, RIP.

Craig Ferguson is probably my number one though. His specials aren't even that great but the three times I've seen him live have been hysterical, and his Late Late Show was legendary imo, such a quick witted mind for improv.
