A semi-nomadic online traveller from Verdigris, archiving, connecting and creating as much as he can.
Also a budding architect, visual artist, and demoscene musician at heart.
You can also see me down Masto-raft at @jupritona, and Fanlore (JWPH) and Newgrounds (that1verdeian).
I would also like to add that she's also in the game Sayonara Wild Hearts as the Narrator herself, as a sort of last-minute addition by the developers at Simogo.
This is a simple yet effectively-down-to-earth meme right here. Not all conflicts and problems have to be responded with abject rage and negativity; humility, a willingness to listen with caution, and most of all, an eagerness to explain and discern beyond the bubble like your favorite high school/collegiate instructor would, are all that it takes for positive and fruitful conversations and engagements, especially in online rafts like the ones we currently have built down here.
New release: EX-XDRiVER
This comes across as a cyberpunk-aesthetic 8k (six lanes + 2 gear) rhythm game with racing elements to it, such as medals for attaining a set amount of EX points (a.k.a. notes hit), as well as utilizing the gyroscope feature to drift across tracks of various difficulties—essential for those using physical controllers.
As for the premise and story, it's minimal yet substantial: a futuristic racing competition organized by a cybernetic research enterprise, its top prize being any desired cybernetic enhancement its eventual winner wishes for.
As it's released under Early Access, in much the same way as vivid/statis did last year, on Steam, future updates, bugfixes, events, and song additions are to be expected out of this newborn project.

With how us humans, regardless of social standing, continue to develop our entire civilization, especially with our immediate surroundings, for the past several centuries, the rate at which we are doing so has been slowly speeding up with newfound technologies and measures, a side effect that of which has been slowly replacing the sweet, calming ambience of nature itself with the brutalist, artificial statis of urban life, without much regard to the creatures we are supposed to take care of and equally preserve for generations to come.
Truly, if we do not ever strive and make pushes towards a sort of a humane-ecological balance, alongside tackling greed as a major factor in this critical climate crisis, we might as well see the Earth's natural resources go "Stand Still, Stay Silent".
I've been entirely mostly off from OMORI these days, and still on vivid/statis, wherein I still seem to stagnate at my current ability to clear Classes 2 and/or 3 on Course Mode, as well as raising my personal skills and score on Middle charts past Level 6-9+, just for that last requirement on the final Final Landing song's equivalent chart.
Considering its merits as a meaty scifi story (involving realities, personas, and other relevant technological aspects) nestled within a 4-key rhythm game, I think vivid/statis would fare decently as a standalone novel, along with some tweaks to adapt and interpret the ARG-esque bits whenever possible.

vivid/statis: the second April Fools' Extravaganza update
It seems this mystery-scifi VSRG is more than willing to go for another michievous fun with the recently-released update, 3.0.1.1.1.1.1.1, albeit a day earlier than expected due to timing conflicts with that of Easter Sunday.
This time, amongst other bugfixes and further polishing, the infamous WHIMSICAL BUTTON is back, but with a devious double twist to it, plus yet another song addition somewhere within the Node Flowchart. Whatever comedic horrors lie within is up to the player themselves to experience…

“We cannot confirm if Pastor is still in Davao because we also do not know where he is now,” ayon sa pahayag ni dela Rey.
I'd say my personal faves are that of OMORI, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Sky: Children of the Light, and the two OXENFREE titles.
Those last seven days? Mostly vivid/statis (PC) and Shattered Pixel Dungeon (mobile).
In particular, for the former, I've been slowly improving myself in recognizing medium-to-hard charts and beating them, mostly of the Middle difficulty, although I found the Cyclical Rebellion one quite hard to maneuver, requiring extra reflex time to get through the tricky sections. Story-wise, I held off from experiencing the second-to-last episode of Chapter 3 until I can build up the stamina and patience needed for its corresponding boss song chart (of which I'm either gunning for Opening or Middle, owing to my rather newbie-status in serious, well-polished 4k rhythm games in general), but from what much I had gleaned out of, from the game's official Discord hub, there's a lot going on behind the scenes, particularly on the main characters' dimensional dilemma and the concept of "cycles". Gameplay-wise, I still am grappling over the fact I get more early notes, and less late ones, than a stable balance, but I attribute it mostly to my proficiency and a rather minor irregular rhythm/beat following.
As for my own backlog, though, I still have the unplayed demo for Until Then, as well as OMORI, and Disc Room, the last of which I haven't touched upon since my last playthrough some three years back.
vivid/stasis Chapter 1 Middle Difficulty Any% in 47:59

In which last month, Youtube user The Gamer 540, attempts an Any% speedrun towards reaching the end of Chapter 1, focusing entirely on Middle-difficulty charts with the CHARGE decryption style (although later on, the HARMONY one) engaged in order to gain higher amounts of Battery, which will then only be used to unlock story-related nodes in the Node Flowchart. All purely for the fun of it.
Not even rhythm games (moreso, those with a followable storyline) are safe from being ultimately speedran, at this point.

Nowadays, it's through "bait-and-switch" rip vids made by Youtube channels like SiIvaGunner and TimmyTurnersGrandDad.
I also keep a casual eye towards new releases on itch.io.
I also felt the normalcy kicking back in at this moment; days or weeks ago, it felt like jumbled static and spammed noise perusing through this digital seaside village, with storms periodically downing the entire rafterstructure.
Whatever you are doing and faring right now, Mr. @ernest, stay humble and keep on doing for the best of all, even if it means having to ask for additional help from us when circumstances are dire. :D

Even though the style of gameplay (i.e. inspired by SDVX) isn't as well-suited for me, especially with the need for multi-finger coordination in more difficult charts, I still recognize it for its place in the community-led evolution of this diverse game genre.
Spaking of its recent anniversarial update (4.0), what sorts of things do you either appreciate or didn't enjoy in it?
It seems we've largely missed the Milthm x Rain World Collab...
For context, said collab was quite something out of the ordinary, in contrast to other prior cross-RG collabs in the past few years, with four or five songs from the environmental survival game "Rain World" - composed by James Primate and Lydia Esrig, making it to Milthim, a recent cross-platform, multi-lane RG being heavily inspired by Rizline and (to some degree) Groove Coaster), on February 23 this year.
Look further into the naming, and both games share a common weather theme - that being of rain.
In relation to that, here's MusicFracturer's first dive into said chapter.
Hayyy... Marso na naman, at nagsisimula na naman ang kaalingsangan rito...

Down the chats of the official Fanlore discord server lately (of which I have been in for the past few months), they've been discussing this kind of transgression alongside the HP fanfic debacle (specifically, the Manacled one, of which upon its reworked professional release by its fanfic author gained enough controversy within and outside the fandom that it warranted for a wiki article on its own).
Also, one editor has suggested using "illegal fic binding" in place of the term "illegal "fanbinding" as the latter connotes the non-profit work with a for-profit tone in a negative way. Another has noted that het (in other words, F/M) fanfics sell much more than other pairing-centered ones, and attract more outsiders willing to buy that much for an illegal fic-binded copy, in disrespect to those original authors; throw the franchise copyright shenanigans in, and there we have the entire panfandom world at a crossroads battlefield against those recklessly profiteering for the sake of it.
Also, as a side note, there's also this recently-created wiki article section about said fannish controversy:

Not only that, but through his past connections as a demoscene musician back in the early 1990s (for example, the dark cyberpunk/sci-fi aspect of the soundtrack for "Hardwired", an Amiga OCS creative demo by Silents and Crionics), he has shown his homegrown compositional prowess, even to other musical genres unrelated to that.

Most, if not all, of my experienced dreams so far, have been in 1st person, as if I'm the one living through whatever realism-fantasy-scifi shenanigans I'm in; thing is, most of the time, they're almost exclusively set within my home province, including the central capital city, highways and all.
Consuming and creating various creative media also has its own part in aligning perspectives in those dreams, as well as how the supposed "plot"/"storyline" plays out in its entirety.
Reading all of this in depth while silently sipping across my leaf-green cup of hot 3-in-1 coffee in the morning, I'm now seeing almost the whole picture with the new TenForward online hub-raft and the reasons for its founding. ValSub, as evidenced by the screenshots and credible anecdotes by others experiencing the ire at the supposed mod overreach on that particular instance, has come off to me as bespoke of a too passionate fan enthusiast, much like that of Dream SMP of a few years prior, while exhibiting multiple instances of verified victim complex. Even though the original intent of said instance is to have a fair ground for all to discuss and meme their watched Star Trek content, including fanworks (Happy International Fanworks Day, after all!) of every type.
In the end, as a fellow recent Fediversian myself, I take sympathy towards not only you, Stamets, but also to the countless others who have been fed up with the sudden debauchery of such a rogue, highly-agitated mod person for weeks on end.
May the Federation prosper, even through understandable disagreements and hardships, as well as triumphs and camaderie, both large and small.

Some speculate they're unemployed, per the now-perennial title joke on that player, while others focus on the "break-time-at-work" angle…
Really makes you think that not all osu! (and rhythm game) players and enthusiasts are that well-off in life, and are just playing for fun despite their surrounding environments.
It's okay by me; no one's actually got their guts and feels hurt by that much. All is fair game.
If you're the type who wants to unwind from the hyper-realistic art style of most mainstream games nowadays, while also exploring modern Filipino life and culture through the eyes of a young adult student, the Until Then demo might be up your alley. Aside from the pixelated art style coming from the devs themselves, who are also wholly Filipino themselves, there's quite a substantial attention to detail when it comes to the greater Metro Manila and the suburban locations around, including our local circuses. Oh, and there's also quite a bit of mysteriousness and some philospophy to it, as vaguely evidenced by its Playstation 5 trailer.
