    I can't read most of the article due to paywall, but I thought many dried fruits had sulfur something something in them to preserve color. I wonder if this is just an extreme version of that

  • So it's the coating, and that fruits labeled organic (at least in US?) don't use animal derived coatings. I think Whole Foods mentions what wax they use, but when I shop other places I guess I gotta lean organic just in case. Bummer

  • Well it's hard to say, the early birds got the saskatoons and I only got 2 (two!). They're blueberry like, maybe a bit less tart and a bit creamier(?). Definitely looking forward to meet years crop!

  • Ive never heard of rattlesnake beans, looks fun! I mostly have just been putting perennial fruits in the ground, I've got raspberries, blueberries, Saskatoons, and elderberries. I might start some annuals next year
