What are some good browser-based games you've liked?
  • slither.io šŸ Become the longest snek in the multiplayer pit by tripping up other players and feasting on the dead ā€“ until the inevitable moment when the same happens to you. Nothing like thinking youā€™re the very biggest, only to discover youā€™ve slowly been completely encircled by a much, much bigger snake and no amount of coiling is going to change the outcome.

  • What game is too terrifying to finish for you?
  • Such a beautiful game but I couldnā€™t stand being on edge the whole time. Iā€™m stressed enough as it is.

Playing on the Nintendo Switch was an interesting experience, with a rendering distance so short that by the time anything dangerous pops into view itā€™s already too late.

  • What game is too terrifying to finish for you?
  • I visited that island way too early in the game

  • Can some one explain how the microblog feature works.
  • This is excellent. Thank you! I genuinely didnā€™t get it until reading your reply. In fact, I was thinking of posting a meme along the lines of ā€˜I donā€™t understand how the microblog feature works and at this point Iā€™m too afraid to askā€™. No need anymore.

Now all I DO need is a way to save/bookmark posts for future reference.

  • Is is possible to make clicking on thread titles take you the link instead of the post?
  • Kind of discouraging to be downvoted for sharing a differing opinion. Surely, other peopleā€™s preferences merit consideration too?

  • Is is possible to make clicking on thread titles take you the link instead of the post?
  • Just my two cents: I prefer the way it is. The Hacker News way always trips me up, especially when switching from Apollo ā€“ where post titles link to the post. I realize how bad this is going to sound, but the OP and the comments are what Iā€™m here for. I judge whether the linked content is worth visiting based on the comments, so thatā€™s where I prefer to start.

  • What's everyone playing right now?
  • Recently discovered Urbek City Builder. Itā€™s similar to Islanders and Dorfromantik except thereā€™s an auto-upgrade mechanic where building tiles respond to changes in neighboring tiles. It creates a wonderful feeling of emergent behavior where putting down a single new tile creates beautiful ripple effects. The experience on the Nintendo Switch is decent but Iā€™ll probably be buying it again for PC shortly

  • What's everyone playing right now?
  • Huge fan of the Kingdom series. Still deciding whether to get this (for the Switch). How would you rank it against previous installments? Is it a ā€˜haha they put Stranger Things in my Two Crownsā€™ kind of novelty (which no doubt wears off soon), or does it feel like something thatā€™s as explorable through replay as previously?

  • What's your favorite movie/serie/TV show opening credit ?
  • For All Mankind and Foundation's are both incredible. Didn't skip them once. Someone over at Apple TV really cares about strong openings.

  • Progressive Web App
  • On iOS, press the ā€˜shareā€™ button (box with an arrow coming out the top) and look for ā€˜add to home screen +ā€™
