November 18th temperature anomaly - 1.98°C
According to data from climate change institute we have the highest change in temperature this year, 1.3°C above 1979-2000 average (1.98°C above pre-industrial). This is only beaten by the record holding 1.99°C above pre-industrial from Feb. 28, 2016.
Will we hit new record soon?

September 2023 was the warmest since records began in 1850. 2023 is virtually certain to become a record warm year, and likely to exceed 1.5 °C.
The previous record for warmest September was broken by 0.5°C (0.9°F) (!!)
