  • Cool, thanks for the info!

  • Yeah, playing them all at once will probably cause a burn out.

  • I have heard about these games a lot, but never got around to getting them. Didn't even know they weren't available for West, so maybe that's why.

Will check out some videos and see if I should order a physical copy.

  • Ah, playing it for first time? Or replaying it? I think we talked about it before, but can't if you have played these before or not.

Didn't play much this week. Mainly continuing with Dragon Age: Inquisition, plus some more puzzles in The Last Campfire.

My wife, who generally doesn't play games, got back into Tetris 99, even reaching 2nd in a gruelling match. Also playing some single player Tetris in Puyo Puyo Tetris.

What about all of you? What have you been playing? Or planning to play over the weekend?

Dragon Age: The Veilguard's gameplay reveal emphasises just how terminally out of touch EA and BioWare have become
  • Maybe we need a new idiom for that... What about "stuck in the stems"? It's after root, but before fruit / flowers / leaves.

  • Farlands – Announcement Trailer – Nintendo Switch
  • Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but personally speaking, I am happy about this.

I won't play most of these, but this means there is a game for everyone (who like farm sims, that is), a farm sim in space, in past, in future, where everyone is animal, where you also fight, where you don't fight, where you have to craft, where there is no crafting, and so on.

  • Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector – Announcement Trailer – Nintendo Switch
  • When the sequel is announced, that's generally my queue cue to play the previous one.

Or if the previous one is not on my radar (like in this case), then that is when I add it to my wishlist, and then forgot about it. Visiting it only when sequel's sequel is announced.

    Edit: Fixed queue / cue.

  • Mixtape | Reveal Trailer | PS5

    Coming in 2025

    Originally announced in Xbox Showcase.

Avowed third-person gameplay revealed in Xbox deep dive
  • My issue with third person in Skyrim was that combat or even interaction with other objects in third person wasn't very good.

They have showed no combat in third person, so I am going to remain cautiously optimistic about it.

  • Poll: How would you rate the Xbox Games Showcase?
  • This was a very good showcase. Great list of games, and very nice presentation with "Day-1 on Gamepass" with so many of them.

  • Doom Eternal's long-awaited follow-up is a medieval prequel called Doom: The Dark Ages
  • That's great. Guess it's time to finally play Doom: Eternal 😀

  • Yeah, nothing wrong with dropping a game if you aren't enjoying. I did that recently. wink

  • What are you playing this weekend? 2024-06-07
  • lol, sorry, missed that.

While I love the side stories in the game, I have never spent any time in mahjong parlor, maybe cause I couldn't figure out how to play it, but that was back when I played first Yakuza, around when it was released.

  • It happens sometimes. I originally played Demon's Souls on PS3 but dropped it soon after, but recently played it again and finished the game.

  • Yeah, I am not a fan of timers either, so haven't tried it yet.

After last weekly thread, I officially dropped Octopath Traveler. The game, which beautiful, isn't just for me.

I ended up starting couple of different games. Got The Last Campfire by Hello Games. It's a nice, little puzzle game, with really good production values. Puzzles aren't too difficult in general, but couple of them had me scratching my head for a while. Love the narrator and narration. Highly recommended for anyone who like puzzle games.

Also started Dragon Age: Inquisition on PS5. I have been holding out on it cause I wanted to play Dragon Age: 2 first, (already played Origins during PS3 days), but finally gave up on it since there is no way to play it on modern consoles, and wasn't in mood to go back to PS3. Loving the game. The combat is satisfying, you gaining influence and slowly gaining foothold in the world feels nice. Though I have just played it for a few hours yet.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is still going good. I think I am halfway through the main story. Have been doing most, but not all, of the side quests, mainly skipping out on the ones that require me to do any thieving or such.

What about all of you? What have you been playing?
