I bought frozen BBQ eel and the best before date says LJ349. What does this mean?
  • I mean, is there something to the right? I think not because the français is below so I guess good luck. I'd personally eat it unless you bought it months ago.

  • Roku suffered another data breach, this time affecting 576,000 accounts
  • My account is with mailinator (free throwaway email) and I'm hopeful someone does this for me. That sounds quite nice.

  • This Telus offshoot only covers certain drugs for its employees if they come from its own pharmacy
  • Fuck yeah, finally leaked. I commented on Lemmy about a month ago about this. I really hope they back down now.

  • Canada's carbon rebate is increasing. Here’s how much Ontarians can expect in their bank accounts
  • Most Ontarian will receive at least $140 from the carbon price rebate, up from $122, for the next year.

  • Looking for Family Doctor
  • I've been on the Ontario wait list thing since 2020 and I keep getting random letters in the mail saying they're still looking for me. I had a doctor until 2019 or so, until I went to book with him and he was just gone. Google suggested he left Ontario.

I just go to a walk-in 2 hours before they open and I'm first in line. Better then being last in line and waiting until 5pm to be seen.

  • Beginner needs help with setting NextCloud without a domain
  • There's free domains too. I can't recommend any but I know .tk should be free.

  • [update](Lemmy) security issue: spontaneous access given to admin’s account
  • If this is true, it probably shouldn't be posted publicly... This is giving people who know how to exploit it an idea where to look and how to get in.

  • Nintendo is suing the creators of Switch emulator Yuzu
  • .xci files are physical switch game images and .nsp files are updates or games from the eShop. Everything is online somewhere.

  • Nintendo is suing the creators of Switch emulator Yuzu
  • Yuzu, to my knowledge, is PC only.

To get the information you need to use it, you'll either download it illegally or hack a switch (legally?) To get encryption keys and dump a copy of your game.

  • Estonia Says Russia Is Preparing For A Military Confrontation With The West
  • I'm not curious at all. Let's just stop this shit already.

How unlikley is it they've held back at minimum one airplane and a big ass bomb (atomic, nuclear, etc, I have no idea) for the USA? Best effort or not, if one thing gets through some people are fucked. Some is more then none and that's too much.

  • Report: Apple is testing foldable iPhones, having the same problems as everyone else
  • Serious question. Anyone here actually want a foldable smartphone? If so, why?!? I'll never own one

  • Manulife will cover specialty drugs filled at any pharmacy following backlash to Loblaw deal
  • They're doing it and they're NOT backing down. It's been made very clear people are not happy, some have straight up said they'll quit to upper management.

As I understand it, Québec is the only place telus can't do this because it's not going to affect them.

  • Manulife will cover specialty drugs filled at any pharmacy following backlash to Loblaw deal
  • Telus is forcing their employees (just Telus Health, as telus proper has unions) to use their Virtual pharmacy. 1-3 days for meds to make it to your door and no other pharmacy is covered. I really hope it's leaked soon and they also go back on this.

Could you image your meds are late and having to call support, or having surgery and waiting 3 days for pain meds? Fuck.

  • Public Tracker vs Private Tracker vs DDL vs Usenet
  • Not sure I replied to the PM correctly but I did invite you to IPT. Cheers!

  • Public Tracker vs Private Tracker vs DDL vs Usenet
  • I can give you an invite to IPTorrents PM me an email if you want it and I'll send next time I'm on my laptop.

Honestly, I got IPT access from a coworker, and I keep an eye out for open registration on trackers I want. I don't use them anymore, I just use sonarr/radarr with Usenet now. If that can't find it, I use jackett, then go to YouTube or google if I still can't find it.

  • Public Tracker vs Private Tracker vs DDL vs Usenet
  • At first, anything that was free. Then I found the *arrs, moved to Usenet and never looked back.

  • Class War
  • All the other comments seem to be about the US. I'm not sure how Canada will be in time of war but I agree with you. Being a foreign citizen is worth it. If I'm to leave, id go to The Netherlands but I really do not want to leave Canada.

The longer this shit goes on, the more I'm starting to worry. I hope it ends soon.
