The dollar's convertibility to gold was suspended in 1971. This is not an argument for the gold standard, but the fact that the federal reserve and government was then essentially allowed to flood the economy with money with no accountability is my opinion of why this has happened.
Obviously, companies also had to pay their employees less relative to their productivity for this gap to occur as well, but imo in a market where money is hard to produce companies wouldn't be able to get away with paying their employees less because of competition and lack of easy money (loans, tax breaks, subsidies, etc.).
Developer Briefing #191 - Player Locomation Changes, Bug Fixing, & Server Performance News
Updates, events, and news from the developers of Hell Let Loose.
Seems like the best news in a while. Hopefully it all works out.
TL;DR
-They are reverting the movement changes entirely
-They are implementing PTEs for testing new changes
-Lots of bug fixing
-Much slower development pace, with reworked roadmap and schedule, focusing on bug fixing
Yeah, the original devs, Black Matter Studios, sold the game to Team 17 and are no longer working on the project. It's now completely run by T17 and the first few updates and trailers have been very controversial to the current player base. The player count has dropped significantly since the most recent updates over the last few months. Pretty upsetting, considering it is one of my favorite games.
Will Team 17 turn things around for Hell Let Loose? - Thoughts?

When I got into HLL back in 2021, it was a one of a kind experience of strong community, teamwork, and a balance of realism, strategy, and "arcadey" enough to not get boring. I am fairly concerned that T17 will not be able to maintain the games popularity / enjoy-ability going forward.
My hope is that they can turn it around, but knowing how modern game development goes from larger studios, it's not looking good imo.

Seriously, was it generated as a seamless texture without any edits? Because if so that is amazing. Also what model / system are they using?
