It's a waaaaaay better experience than the official Twitch app. The fact that it can stream from other websites as well is nifty. Works great for what it is.

S&box (Garry's Mod Sequel) is now in open developer beta
S&box is Garry's spiritual successor to Gmod. It's still in alpha from what it seems, but now anybody can download the game and give it a try. This is mostly meant for developers that want to start making game modes on Source 2. Excited to give it a try!

The Overwatch 2 devs have revealed tests for 6v6 to return and determine if the game should permanently go back to the old format.

Lol. After all these years they're thinking of rolling back the 5v5 changes. To quote someone from Reddit:
> PVE was dropped, heroes are free again, and now 6v6 is back. Blizzard spent the last couple of years turning overwatch 2 back into Overwatch 1.
Edit: See also the developer's blog post about this, which goes into great detail explaining their decisions over the year and how we got here. Really worth a read if you are (or were) an OW player.
It's from their Twitter account.

After letting go of all of its employees, the Humble Games closure situation continues to get messier with claims of lies and damage control

Wait, really? I had no idea there was going to be a Mouse Guard movie, I remember casually reading the comics ages ago.
There's apparently some tuning that needs to be done in Llama.cpp (which LM Studio uses to run) so Llama 3.1 can work properly: https://github.com/ggerganov/llama.cpp/issues/8650
I was literally just pointing out that the number could have been higher, no need to shit your pants. I can wait for the update.

They tried. It was called UWP, but it never caught on and Microsoft quickly realized nobody wanted to use their store or even bother with the new format, so all their games also have a normal x86 version.

Big day for people who use AI locally. According to benchmarks this is a big step forward to free, small LLMs.
Would probably be even more if they didn't delay Patch 7

Announcing the Kawaii - A keychain-sized Nintendo Wii
Pretty neat project.
Outspoken former Capcom director Hideki Kamiya has said he feels a "duty" to develop sequels to cult classics Okami and…

They are trying so hard to save this franchise. Nobody cares about the "Snyder Cut" for a movie nobody even wanted to see in the first place.
Tekken 8 Will Finally Get Heihachi in August 2024
Tekken 8 will finally be getting Heihachi Mishima as he will be joining the roster in Fall 2024 as the third DLC character, and we had the chance to speak to Katsuhiro Harada and Kohei Ikeda about the return of the King of the Iron Fist.

Agreed, his first phase is fine but the 2nd phase felt like a lot of projectile and AoE spam. He wasn't that hard in the end, but Laxasia felt like more of a final boss than he did.
Waiting for this game to inevitably go free 2 play considering the monetization they have. Any day now.
If your horror game doesn't do this, it loses points in my eyes. I want a final chapter that makes me think "Damn, he really is The Evil Within(tm)"
User returns after 100k-hours ban to continue conversation that got them banned in the first place.
For reference: A 100,000 hour ban is ~11.4 years.
I had exactly the same experience. I played Ghosts of Tsushima after Elden Ring and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, I was surprised how shallow the mainstream open world games are. I don't hate them, but the gameplay really boils down to:
-
Walk slowly while characters talk to eachother for 5 minutes
-
Open the map, click on where you need to go, then walk in a straight line to your objective
-
Trail an enemy without being seen
-
Liberate an enemy camp (kill the same 3 enemies and collect the 5000 twinkly useless items in the area)
The Elden Ring withdrawal is really hitting me. Most AAA games are trying so hard to be cinematic and movie-like that it's boring me to tears.
There's still good stuff occasionally but the anime industry has produced a lot more trash this past decade. There was an article that explained exactly why but I can't find it.
Basically, the anime industry is falling apart on itself. Harsh deadlines and low pay means everyone is rushing everything and prioritizing quantity over quality. Even the most popular anime like Jujutsu Kaisen have had controversies on how they abuse their staff.
Also the reason most animes have a similar artstyle is to make it easy to onboard new animators and hire freelancers. If everything had a different style it'd be difficult to train animators to keep it consistent.

Sometimes you just want to eat dry food and noodles is a cheap way to do that and is always around.
I'm surprised it ever got renewed for season 2 considering everyone's reaction to season 1
