I post mostly in English, about #sustainability, the #EnvironmentalCrisis and the #environment, #SurveillanceCapitalism, and #FLOSS.

I've an alt @silmathoron where I do the same, only in French.

I tend to boost a lot, so don't hesitate to mute my boosts if you feel overwhelmed (three dots on my profile \> "Hide boosts from @silmathoron")

I'm building a Community powered Duolingo-like App
  • @Cr4yfish nice project ๐Ÿ™‚
I'm a bit worried about the AI part, though, as you'd want an app whose main purpose is "learning" to guarantee, if not the reliability of the material (since anyone can contribute), at least the reliability of the course generation process that it proposes.
As far as I know, this is not possible with current generative AI tools, so what's your plan to make sure hallucinations do not creep in?

  • Update:
  • @user0 that's very sad to hear...
As @Septimaeus mentioned, it might be worth requesting a data deletion via official channels if you want that content gone, I (maybe naively) expect it should work.
A bit sad to see that you also moved your repos to private, though, but thanks for all your work on mobile Firefox so far!

  • Follow-up Two: Mobian on the Pixel 3a / 3a XL

This sounds fantastic, thanks for all that work!
It's great to see all these developments on pmOS and mobian!

  • [Discussion] How can we entice companies to port authenticators/financial apps?
  • @Beaver
I don't think we need to entice them. The only reason bank apps are necessary is because they don't use standard 2FA.
What we need is to get legislators like the @EU_Commission to force them to follow standards (so we can use our own 2FA apps or keys, that have been working just fine for decades and are way more secure than some of their "2FA" implementations) and make their websites usable on a mobile browser.
