[DISC] Return of the Mount Hua Sect Ch.72 [S2 Start]
  • Hell yea! I'm a novel reader too - you're caught up with SkydemonOrder or Mylasted? Or God forbid.... the raw MTL??

I'm hyped af for these chapters because I really really like the art and the way they animate the characters.

  • From comments of Korean release:

Volcano Return, My Love. Volcano Return, My Light. Volcanic return, my darkness. Volcanic return, my life. Volcanic return, my joy. Volcanic return, my sorrow. Volcanic return, my pain Volcanic return, my rest. Volcanic return, i.

    Relate.

  • Since there's no manhwa community yet (that I know of), I decided to post it here. Please let me know if this doesn't belong here, since it's a Manhwa

  • Yup same. I've gone through their post history, and also the histories of mods listed on r/adviceanimals, and can't find this post or comment on this post. Huh.

  • what are your favorite cozy reads?
  • Woah that's awesome! I'll join you guys there once I finish reading the latest Pre-pub

  • Is it possible to browse communities from blocked instances?
  • I mean, yeah, leaving is always an option - but I would rather prefer exploration of the possibility of a better solution. Not to mention, there doesn't seem to be an option for moving your account from one instance to another. I would like to keep my comment and post history if I ever do move instances.

Besides, leaving might not be the ideal solution, as blocked instances seem to block back, and many instances have a "follow our blocklist, or we will block you" rule from what I have been reading.

you can always go to the instance itself directly and browse things there.

Eh, I would like to access all the stuff I want to see in one feed, ideally.

  • Is it possible to browse communities from blocked instances?

Hi, just moved to Beehaw and liking the experience and community a lot - this place is so much more chill and civil than reddit.

However, I just discovered that instances can block each other and I dislike the concept. Don't get me wrong, I like safe spaces and moderation, and that the blocked instances in general are not great. But I dislike that I, as a user, can't even browse another community just because the admins decided it, and worry that it would just lead to echo chambers and block wars between instances that end up isolating each other.

I think a soft block, where in communities from flagged instances don't show up by default anywhere, and where users have to explicitly seek them out to browse or subscribe is a much better option.

I am enjoying my time on Beehaw and would like to continue to do so. Is there any option for me to subscribe or browse a community from another instance?

    What's your favourite snack(s)?
  • Presently, it's an Indian savoury mixture called Cornflakes Chudva. It's a great snack, blend of savory, sweet+spice, and has a great mouthful.

  • Telegram is the 5th most downloaded app, beating Zoom, Snapchat, Twitter and is almost tied with WhatsApp.
  • For good reason. Out of all the messenger apps I've tried - open source, decentralised, or stuff like whatsapp - Telegram is THE best one imo. Fast as hell, great UI/UX, lots of customisation, nice features, and good bot support.

I know some people dislike Telegram here, but among centralised apps their philosophy and track record is pretty decent imo

  • What is your favorite type of art, and why?
  • Animated Music Videos

I just love the combination of different mediums - the art, music, direction - mmmmph!

  • Something I WONT miss from Reddit/other social medias
  • I don't mind them being on reddit at that age. I just wish they knew when to keep their mouth shut - 90% of the bad discussions I saw in the last three years could've been solved with a 10sec search.

  • Something I WONT miss from Reddit/other social medias
  • I get it, I was a teen and I browsed reddit too, and enjoyed it a lot.

I definitely think it's gotten worse. Teens used to be more of lurkers in my experience, but that isn't the case anymore especially because reddit is encouraging teens to treat the site more like twitter, and rewarding mindless engagement. I don't remember the content being this mindless, or the teenagers being this vocal.

Or maybe we're just grumpy old people now idk anymore man

  • This is my cornsnake Luna. She loves her cardboard tubes
  • Awww she looks so precious all rolled up like that

  • what are your favorite cozy reads?
  • right now, it's 'Ascendance of a Bookworm'

It used to be Percy Jackson when I was a kid, but I think the re-reads have numbed it a bit. I also like to read 'Never Let Me Go' whenever I wanna get grounded and appreciate the simple joys of life

  • Let’s talk about media collections: How do you keep your library of your favorite movies and TV shows?
  • Buy stuff to support the creators, but always have a seperate personal storage/library, don't use services.

There's recently been some drama on twitter, where media providers have changed the parts of some movies. Movies that were in the libraries of those who purchased them. They replaced them with a different version - some with censors, some with commentary removed, or some with whole different endings.

You never acutally own the media copy if you depend on an external service.

  • Your Favorite foss Apps!
  • Diskusage

Analyser and display of phone storage space. Extremely useful for me as I tend to take a lot of stuff with me everywhere.

Many of my favourite apps are already listed here, so I won't repeat them

  • A Marimba I built last year - took me a bit over half a year to complete. 61 keys made of Padauk, all hand-tuned, on a frame of Red Oak and Walnut
  • That looks absolutely amazing!

Thank you so much for posting. Could you please play something on it and upload it here? Would love to see it in action

  • Modern Pokemon games hold your hand too much.
  • Pretty much the same opinion as you.

I think Gen 5 was the last non-"commerical" games. Almost all games since then are way too simple, it's like playing a visual novel. AND SO SLOW - I haven't found much other people who related to this, but the movement, animations, and general gameplay feel slow and bloated.

tbf - the games didn't get too easy either, all the enemy trainers have ev trained pokemon with perfect IVs in later gens, so much so that nuzlocking them is apparently harder than old games. That doesn't change the fact that there's too much handholding tho.

Also, Pokemon Legends: Arceus was pretty neat. Not a classic pokemon game, but a polished one atleast.

A lot of it is to blame on blind fans - people will buy any random crap that comes out with a pokemon stamp and let Gamefreak escape the consequences

  • What's your favorite split screen games?
    • Halo
    • It Takes Two

Goddamn these two games are so well crafted and awesome. Halo is a classic fps with every aspect of gameplay gelling really well with me. It Takes Two is a unique with some revolutionary gameplay mechanics. Some of my favourite games of all time
