Yes, it's in a very usable state, but I'd consider it alpha software at the moment. Users can, however, switch between Steam's gamepad UI, the desktop, and OpenGamepadUI any time.
I don't think so. I would also love this feature.

There's not much of a preview other than screenshots. I'll see if I can upload a short video of the interface :)
