Until last year they made the task bar for the computer illiterate (ie Mac/gnome users). Thankfully they fixed that.
I can't prove it's true for you, but every time I read messages like this I think "lol look at that Uber conservative with bad ideas"
Edit: in your case the problem appears to be explosive diarrhea, not being a conservative. Consider me corrected. However another person heavily agreeing with you validates my bias so I'll stick with it ;)
Yeah us politics don't really impact anyone else on the planet outside of the 50 states
Is this politics?
Who thought this would be fine? Did they look at Elon and Amazon and just think they could pull that shit too?
Was there a real user risk to any of the flaws since heart bleed? Or did people mostly want to hate on Intel? I'm no tinfoil hatter either I'm just asking questions.
🙄
Yeah god knows I was never like that as a kid, wishing I could be home playing my N64 instead of sitting on a car ride for hours and hours and hours on end. Who would ever prefer video games to the freshly recycled air pumped over you for the 100000th time that day while staring out at corn?
Cool moral panic anecdote
Was someone on your lawn this morning?
That's the majestic and ancient lobster, and having an emoji for such a fine creature makes sense.
This is Bitcoin
I've never seen proof he didn't fuck a couch, any more than I've seen proof Glenn Beck didn't rape and murder a young girl in 1990 (look it up if you don't know what I'm referring to, is on the wiki).
Re slippery slope, conservatives love them: for trans rights it's "I identify as an attack helicopter", 20 years ago it was "what if people want to marry their pets". No real difference in the sociopathy of those offering up the suggestion, just a new front line.
I do agree there's a line: there's on one part the paradox of acceptance or whatever it's called which is explicit. In this case we are also saying it's weird to hold beliefs that are so out of touch with reality or the people they impact. It's weird to care what restroom people use, especially for those of us in states that have removed the victorian stigma on all-gender shitters. It's weird to care what sports other people play. It's weird to make up lies about Olympic athletes in order to push your agenda of making life worse for a 12 year old in Virginia. It's all weird.
I'm so torn between "good that the kids learning to do the math" and "kid is still basically paying for Barbie dream house clothing packs which change the actual game exactly 0"
Net positive I think, and good on op for nudging kinder the right direction, but...damn have game companies gotten us under their fingers.
PCs are, steam is not
It's primary purpose is DRM which is a net burden to society. Everything else you list is to help you forget that.
30% is mad decent. For all the haters on California's insane tax, steam takes a 3x larger cut on all income, and California build roads with it. Steam maybe develops half-baked features.
Gog
The most cleverly disguised url in history. Come on man, don't be ridiculous.
The fundamental result isn't much different, there's 30 GB of populated memory being sent to disk because these apps all over allocate and the os insists on sending it to disk even with 40% of real ram free.
As far as I can tell it separates the base os from user changes which could break things by forcing you to use containers by annoying you to death any time you're trying to permanently install a package.
It's fine but it seems better for servers than users.
Difference between fun weird and fucks a couch weird. Ironically jd is an example of the exact slippery slope argument used by the bad weird type to fight gay marriage originally.
Back in my day we called it a cash register, so I can't disagree.
