Ok you are so wholesome. You're officially too sweet! Welcome to the fediverse! Happy to have you here!
oh wow well I truly meant it! Had no idea you'd be here. You've got a wonderful way with words and I look forward to reading more of your work!
That was beautifully written. A delightful read.
Yes but also he just hates anyone with less money than him. Ontarians are struggling to find any form of affordable shelter. This isn’t the first way ontario has made it illegal to be poor.
Saw this lovely polydactyly cat on my way to work recently.
Bonus sneaky hidden cat surprised me haha.
Honestly my tires were alright so it probably was security glass.
It's a main/busy street with lots of bars and the wealth/housing gap is becoming unbearable so someone breaking car windows makes sense.
As you said though I've seen lots of hate first hand toward cyclists so when I see something like glass in the bike lane I just feel sad.
I visited Cork years ago and it was not exactly walkable so I love that you were out there biking but I'm sorry you had bad experiences there.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that makes sense! Thank you for that perspective. Maybe it wasn't malicious towards the bike lane...
The bike lane was full of broken glass.
I was shocked on my commute to work last week when a couple blocks worth of bike lane had broken glass strewn about.
I just can't stop wondering if it was on purpose you know? Normally cars are parked or pedestrians are walking in the bike lane so it seems counter intuitive if it was on purpose.
I mean all winter people were shovelling snow directly into the bike lanes so I'm pretty pessimistic at this point.
I love commuting by bike! I just wish it felt safer.
I am so excited to join your twice mag but I'm struggling to subscribe right now. things are glitchy. please keep it up! i'll get there eventually haha.
the developer, Andrew Shu, tells me that’s not the case — and shared emails with The Verge that appear to back him up.
oh wow spez is lying? I'm so surprised.

my subscribe was pending. I just learned that was a bug. HOORAY I'M IN!
Ok I was just listening to this podcast about Musk getting sued over the twitter cuts and now I can't stop laughing at the absurdity of this article.
Is spez just excited to stop paying landlords and custodial staff.
My childhood is offended at your hatred of the coolest new toy ever!
I'm starting to feel reallllllllllllly ashamed of how bad i am at building in totk.
Sweet and salty things are good! I haven't tried the watermelon feta salad myself but I can understand the reasoning behind the concept and I did mention it to someone else who thought it was an odd mix and they ended up loving it!
I can't think of the weirdest combo I've eaten at the moment but I know what you mean about being surprised by food combos.
Epstein related news is always hard to read but these paragraphs really aren't sitting well with me.
Monday’s settlement stems from claims filed last year by an unnamed woman, using the pseudonym Jane Doe, that the bank knowingly benefited from and facilitated Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. The woman, who alleges she was raped and trafficked, sued on behalf of a “large number” of other victims of that operation.
“We all now understand that Epstein’s behavior was monstrous, and we believe this settlement is in the best interest of all parties, especially the survivors, who suffered unimaginable abuse at the hands of this man,” JPMorgan said in a separate statement Monday morning.
The first paragraph says JPMorgan "knowingly benefited from and facilitated Epstein’s sex trafficking operation."
But the next paragraph says “We all now understand that Epstein’s behavior was monstrous,"
So my main question is who exactly are the people who just found out that benefiting from sex trafficking others/minors is monstrous? and what on earth took them so long?
Every time I hear about rights being taken away I become more bold about my queerness.
Same with my straight cis partner. He actually begged me to paint a trans flag on his banjo because the main online banjo forum was being anti-trans and he was like "Well I don't want people in public thinking I'm a bigot just because I play banjo"
Granted we're a straight passing Canadian couple so these new anti-trans laws haven't directly affected us but he's wholeheartedly an ally and I've identified as bi for as long as I can remember so we do what we can to push back against anti lgbt (or generally bigoted) behaviour.
I sing the house building theme at least once a week.
Well you've got to remember that these big and sudden changes are great because they benefit the ruling class which the conservatives will eventually become once they've pulled their bootstraps tight enough.
It's just basic logic.

I haven't used a Meta product (or twitter) in years. I have no plans on going back. Neither of these businesses inspire confidence.
Does this mean everyone who's been banned from r/Conservative can post freely today?
