Would it be good to have a weekly discussion and questions thread?
Over instead, say, individual posts since it's way easier to comment and interact with others. Id love to talk about Snap on lemmy!
Project Hail Mary read by Ray Porter is amazing!
i cant believe the first lemmy-influenced purchase i want is a waterpik. way to go lemmy!
love that book! im on book 3 now
i was always under the impression that RL was a mechanically-intensive game. my reflexes are really bad so i feel like i couldnt really even get good at the game. how did you start out playing and how long did it take before you felt like you got the hang of the game? its still something id love to play
this update has been amazing. thank you for your work
if you're at least not opposed to the idea, an e-ink reader worked wonders for me. picked up a kindle on a whim despite not having read a book in so long. managed to get back into the habit due to that. my favorite device now, hands down.
also when i get stuck on a long book, i just take a break from it and switch to a shorter book.
also -- i just posted this on a whim to get some discussion going in this community. seems to be the largest one out there, so hopefully we get more interaction here! let me know if you'd like to see this weekly or if we could get a bot to do it on a weekly basis. not a mod here or anything i just wanted to see what everyone else is reading
im about to hop into my first discworld book soonish!
sounds great! im at The Dragon Reborn at the moment, halfway there. unfortunately my attention span cant read that much in such a short amount of time so ive been stalling forever
ive personally just finished heaven by mieko kawakami and project hail mary. trying to read shorter ones to get back into the groove. id appreciate any suggestions.
the piracy subs are already here. [email protected]
its just semantics chill lil bro
glad to see you folks here. welcome!
inceldom is largely an economic issue
that's such a reach. women are lagrely more economically disadvantaged, specially when you consider that men are paid more, are not straved off of promotions due to their gender, are not discriminated because they are women. rich/well-off incels exist, they are and will remain incels despite their financial status or attractiveness. they are incels because of their misogynistic beliefs (among other horrible traits).
the internet and tate has amplified the voices of this community since they are able to congregate anonymously and with no repercussions.
i just got back to reading. i reached and exceeded my goal of 12 books last year, so now im aiming for 30 books. currently 10 in. should i reach 30 early, ill just move the goalpost little by little and try to reach 52 as well.
i have not been back since the blackout started.
