Any highlights? I haven’t watched any yet but I’ve learned a lot from Venkat Subramaniam’s prior presentations
It turns out it was at 66#. I took it to a local were able to lower it to 55, which is much more comfortable.
I pulled out my son's bow first and the owner got real serious and asked where I got it. It turns out it was originally his daughter's. When I pulled mine out he started laughing because my view had been his and the two bows have been passed around together to a parent and child for the past twenty years.
Replacement paddle blade
My kids broke my SUP paddle blade and I'd like to replace the blade. Are replacement paddle blades available? It was an inexpensive paddle and I've purchased a new one, but I'd like a backup in case it happens again.
The inside diameter of the shaft is just larger than one inch
It will only help the earliest of beginners. If java 1.1 included this i would understand, but at this point I don't see it
Why single bevel?
I very much agree that it's related to the recent extreme sexualization of feet
Gen alpha is trying to get everyone to wear socks with sandals
I've noticed the same thing. "Undefined" should be a valid language but isn't in the list. I can comment/post via the web app if i set the language each time but I haven't been able to with jerboa.
Well, the “good” news is that my son’s bow let’s off about an inch behind a comfortable anchor so I can use his, while he uses his old banshee.
I think complete extinction is pretty unlikely, I expect that small enclaves will continue to exist. And if there are still humans in 100 years there will still be humans in 10,000 years.
I can't say that I agree with your vision of an ideal society, but it sounds pretty good if you want to keep capitalism and capitalists
I hope this is the right answer because then maybe it will be ill be able to use it. I can barely draw it at all.
Why is my compound bow draw weight a range?
My 10 year old and I were recently gifted bows. His has a listed weight of 25-40#, mine is 55-70#. What does it mean that it's a range?
Your comment shows as3minutes old and the original post as 9. So that's consistent. @[email protected], did we pass?
What communities/instances are you dominating your /c/all? Asking because I was hoping for more leftist discussion and I'm not really seeing it outside of lemmygrad.
Edit: I'm mostly following programming.dev and lemmyrs.org, so I'm not really looking too hard. And I appreciate beehaw, but it feels more center left than left.
Your analysis looks right to me. If this were mine I'd initialize all three before submitting any.
Java 11 allows you to paste in JavaScript and it largely just works
Var is not Javascript. It's not even type inference. It just reduces redundancy in the boilerplate.
The module changes are a PITA, but not increasingly difficult. There aren't really other big backwards incompatible changes
The actual backend improvements keep being pushed
What changes are you referring to?
Can't watch the video right now but it makes a ton of sense that java would be having a resurgence. Pre-java 8 it felt like the every day I ran into problems it would be easier to solve in other languages. I'm still mostly on 8 and it feels pretty modern still. I'm super excited to move to 17 and 21 for all the new features, though.

I've been paying attention to the JEPs, but this includes the general API changes that there aren't jeps for.

accessing other instances
I can consistently access a couple of tech communities at beehaw.org, but consistently cannot access [email protected] or [email protected].
Is this by design, or is it growing pains? I'm willing to wait if it's likely to get fixed but I'll get another account elsewhere if that's just how our federation is set up.
