Golden Masked Owl (and a teaser)
  • Apparently, lemm.ee isn’t federating correctly with lemmy.world, so my comment is not showing up. 😕

I just wanted to say that I had never seen this owl before. It looks like a more toasted barn owl. ❤️ Also, the treasure hunt sounds very interesting.

  • What are you currently reading?
  • The premise is interesting and the characters’ reactions to the situation are interesting, but I don’t find any of the characters all that likable or easy to identify with. I also don’t really like the writing style.

  • Posters and Lewis’s outfits?

    cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/1099293

    > I really miss seeing the team posters for each GP and what outfit Lewis Hamilton is wearing when he arrives at the paddock each race weekend. It doesn’t feel like the race weekend without them. I’ve tried to find them myself with mixed success. Can someone post them or point me in the right direction? Thanks.

What did everyone read in June?
  • This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub - loved it

When We Were Young by Richard Roper - liked it mostly

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart - excellent

Family of Liars by E. Lockhart - good, but not as good as We Were Liars

  • Lemmy.world improvements and issues
  • A couple times I’ve clicked a post and a completely different post opened. The latest one was a cat pic I was going to show my daughter and porn opened instead. I’m not subscribed to any porn communities and there weren’t any porn posts in the list on my homepage. This is a real problem. I went back and clicked the link and it worked as expected.

Also, as I was typing this comment, the main post I was replying to changed, but the comments stayed the same. Weird.

  • What is your favorite set you’ve built this year?
  • The cockatoo is so good! I love the balrog in general, but the brickhead looked weird to me. Maybe better in person?

I remember seeing your moc on that other site 😉. Really nice. I want to try making these kind of rooms/habitats.

  • Hocus Pocus set on lego.com

www.lego.com Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters' Cottage 21341 | Ideas | Buy online at the Official LEGO® Shop US

Relive spellbinding scenes from classic fantasy-comedy movie Disney Hocus Pocus with this LEGO® brick recreation of the Sanderson Sisters’ cottage

I’m not really a fan of the movie, but it looks nice. Thoughts?

What is your favorite set you’ve built this year?

Mine is either the 31140 Magical Unicorn or 31131 Downtown Noodle Shop. My unicorn set is currently built in the seahorse model because I love how stupid it looks. ❤️

I have Rivendell waiting to be built when I find room!
